Description

Part of the great mountain wall which forms the southwest perimeter of the Buttermere Valley is given its due here in this aerial perspective high on Whiteless Pike. Prominent to the right is High Stile, with High Crag caught in sunlight at the centre. Forming the skyline on the far distance to the left are Great Gable, Scafell Pike, Scafell and Kirk Fell, while,   right of centre, Pillar appears above Burtness Combe.
